The One with No Pictures

Huzzah! That's nice that is finally getting under 100, though its been that way for me for just over a month now ;) I wish we would get some monsoon storms, we get some rain and dark cloudy skys every now and then but not actually storms. 

I dont know much about Jared's family yet, we have yet to meet them, though i think he has an unbaptized 9 year old. We caught Jacob at church and set up a time, I think its midday Wednesday this week, super exciting.

I got the devils sm choco cake mix, it was rly cheap, I also got some reeses chips which were a bit more expensive, my roommates thought it was weird while I was making it but when it was finished they said it looked rly good, its a bit dry so ill need to get sm else if I'm gonna do it again, frosting is typically what makes a cake less dry-tasting but I feel like that would be weird in a mug cake? Whatever works I suppose.

I dont remember the family's name (its only been 4 or 5 weeks and ive met them once) but we had dinner with them, I think they make BBQ pulled pork sammiches, which were rly good, their kids were all over the place but they were nice.

Speaking of dinners i went on an exchange with elder butler yesterday, he's great, he cooks a lot, and plays a bunch of instruments too, idk how he carries it all around but he has a lot of pots and cookware that he bought, a large stone chess set, a keyboard, ukulele, electric guitar+accessories like amp and stuff, plus all of his regular stuff, he also made a thin BoM by ripping out the legal and blank pages, as well as the entire topical guide, and rebound it with an iron (sacrilegious??) But it was neat. 

Anyway we had dinner with a member yesterday and we got there and he made fajitas, and he was listing off the Ingredients (elder butler is allergic to a LOT) and he said tomato slices onion slices and pepper slices and my face must not have been good when he said those because he asked if I was "scared" of them and without thinking I said yeah just a bit then they started talking about what else to make and I said no no ill eat it it smells good(it rly did 😭) but he insisted on making something else so he had elder butler eat the chicken and spent 20 minutes cooking me a steak I felt so bad 😭(the steak was rly good though) he said he was happy to and was looking for an excuse to use the steaks (prolly just trying to make me feel better I mean who needs an excuse to make a steak??) Fast forward to today, im back in my ward and we're greeting for an incoming ward, and some lady and her husband come up and start talking to us, asking about meals and stuff and she said she had a funny story about her brother recently and his experience with a missionary dinner he had the day before... and it was about me! she finished her story and I said "haha...funny you mention that..." she thought the whole thing was hilarious.

Speaking of elder butler and his guitar, his comp has language study, so its in their schedule, but since I was there instead we didnt have anything to do, he taught me how to play guitar a bit and how to read the sheet music, and he sent me the sheet music for crazy train and gave me a buncha guitar picks (for the guitar I dont have 😂), so I was curious if did still had his guitar? I know he let me use it though it mostly just sat in the corner of my room, but I was wondering if I could use it now? 

I just got the white shirts today, all my other shirts were dirty so I wore one of them and it fits perfectly 👌, oh we also called the landlord about the dryer (after another one of my shirts was stained, along with some of my other whites 😓) he looked at it and said they weren't burning, though the dryer was getting unnecessarily hot, he said that it was corrosion, like the orange stuff, on the grate in the back that was staining the clothes that same color, he said he would replace it, though chances are he's not coming by today or tomorrow meaning ill need to air dry stuff.

There hasn't been much to take pictures of, especially the last week, elder Madsen (comp) was sick and bedridden (for the most part) most of the week, so I didnt get out much, he's still sick but a little better so we went out today.
